Moments as Spirit
God, There are moments I just want to be Spirit,
To soar above the limitation of anger;
To be greater than the restraints of sadness,
To be love, unrelenting;
To see beyond the moment,
To be oneness beyond measure;
To breathe deeper than my lungs can master,
To have more courage than my heart can muster;
To be truth, unobstructed,
To hold infinite purpose without the bondage of time;
To exist in your peace,
To be comfort, radiant;
To be like you,
In the spark of every hope;
In the smile of every joy,
In the heart of every love;
In the peace of every healing,
In the kiss of every lip;
In the thunder of every cloud,
In the light of every sunrise;
In the wind beneath all wings,
In awe and in understanding;
And at the end of every road
Smiling with open arms.
To soar above the limitation of anger;
To be greater than the restraints of sadness,
To be love, unrelenting;
To see beyond the moment,
To be oneness beyond measure;
To breathe deeper than my lungs can master,
To have more courage than my heart can muster;
To be truth, unobstructed,
To hold infinite purpose without the bondage of time;
To exist in your peace,
To be comfort, radiant;
To be like you,
In the spark of every hope;
In the smile of every joy,
In the heart of every love;
In the peace of every healing,
In the kiss of every lip;
In the thunder of every cloud,
In the light of every sunrise;
In the wind beneath all wings,
In awe and in understanding;
And at the end of every road
Smiling with open arms.
