Between You and Me
The only certainty in life is that things are often uncertain. Sometimes when I look at life I try to do so using the different viewpoints for all of the things that I do and love and the 'Who' that I have become. The Medium, The Reverend, The Healing One, The Strong One, The Compassionate, The One Who Won't Back Down, The One Who Holds Space.
A significant thing is missing from this world which is for all of us to be who we are - without judgement. To speak from our hearts and know that whatever it is that comes out is an expression that doesn't fall on ears attached to an anything less than a heart that listens and knows it's worth.
Everyone has things that they need to hear often in moments where they feel most alone, beat-down, not good enough or unworthy. If we lived in a society where people could walk around beaming who they are deep down inside knowing that they are loved without judgement then this world would be a better place.
You are not alone because even if you don't hear these things verbally right in this moment believe me they are true and they are truths without judgement.
To all of you who read this and for as many times as you do, these things I say to you:
As The Medium: You are more empowered and light filled than you could ever know. You are incredibly guided and everything that you feel that you are afraid to say is heard by Spirit. Your loved ones are with you and they walk in peace beside you. Your missing them and feeling as though they are not here anymore has no bearing on the fact that your connection and how much they love you has survived their physical death. They live within you and all around you and they speak to you daily.
As The Reverend: There is a plan in all of this. God, by any name or faith through which you have come to understand him - even if it is through faith that you have found in yourself is unconditionally looking out for you. There is always reasons for joy and the thoughts you feel most alone with or are most ashamed of are loved completely. There is no wrong way and you have made no bad choices. There is always a fresh start.
As The Healing One: I know what you're going through. Even though we share a different battle and have had different illnesses please trust me when I say there is light at the end of the tunnel. I know that we both know that the only way out is through so keep trucking. You are putting up the best fight I have ever seen and the shear glory is unlike anything I have ever seen. I know you're afraid but please don't give up - The world would be less awesome without you here. You've touched my soul.
As The Strong One: I wish I could be as strong as you are right now. Lately I've also been looking up a lot wondering what the hell is coming next. Tears are not a weakness. I often think they are too when they're in front of other people but I realize when I see you cry that really they're a sign of a really bright internal fire. I think the world will learn a lot from a beautiful soul like you. Nothing will ever be able to take away who you are - Thank God.
As The One Who Has Become Compassionate: I can sometimes be cold but there is something about right now that doesn't allow it. I do think though that you've been way too hard on yourself with everything. Maybe a day just for you where you can think whatever crazy thoughts come into your head would be good. Your thoughts are strong and I can just tell that you really do know where you're going in life. Isn't it crazy when you look back at everything and see how much you've grown? You've come a lonnnng way. Go easy on yourself; you've survived a lot and I happen to think your story will change a lot of people. You're beautiful inside and out.
As The One Who Won't Back Down: I agree! Don't stop showing people who you are. They deserve to know how awesome you are. I think your point of view is amazing and I bet nobody has thought of that yet. You have such a strong mind and I happen to think that's a gift. If they don't understand that you're just trying to express yourself then give them time - I'm sure they'll come around.
As The One Who Has Learned To Hold Space: Let people breathe. I know it's hard when you feel like nothing is clear but just give it time. You have a lot more within you than what you realize. I know that this blurry road is scary but trust me when I say that these times are just moments.
As Matthew Oliver Stapley: I love you so completely.
But that's all just between you and me.
