Dear Failure,
Thank you for being there
.For telling me what doesn’t work
And showing me what I need to change.
Encouraging me to try again,
Hoping this time you won’t be there.

And when I forget your message,
Feel free to remind me.
The second time I see you,
I’ll understand your importance.
No longer running away,
For the first time, I will hear you.

You have crushed my opinions
And destroyed my world.
Leaving space for fresh perspective
And opportunities I never dreamed of.
I might blame you, but please be patient.
I’m still learning to get back up again.

You have forever changed me,
And I know you haven’t finished.
But as much as I try to avoid you,
Please don’t give up on me.
Because without you,
I wouldn’t be who I am today.
